Resources for Bicycling

Ride with a group
Group rides are a great way to learn from experienced riders, meet new friends, and gain confidence riding on city streets. Cycling Kansas City maintains a calendar of weekly group rides and many local bike shops and businesses coordinate rides as well. For women+ activities, join the Women Bike KC Facebook group.

Organize a Bike to Work Day Encouragement Event
Collaborate with your colleagues to organize a Bike to Work Day encouragement event at your place of business.* Arrange for a meet-up and group ride to work, host a refreshment stop, provide “swag” or prizes for those who ride to work, or use another of the ideas provided by the League.

* Does your school or business need a bike rack? BikeWalkKC can help!

Take a class
BikeWalkKC, local bike shops, and Cycling Kansas City offer classes and clinics to help you feel confident on your bike.

RideshareKC helps individuals find alternative commute opportunities and assists employers with transportation programs. Programs include Guaranteed Ride Home and the Green Commute Challenge.
