The public is invited to participate in a bike maintenance and safety class at the newly renovated Plaza 209 apartment building. Plaza 209 was originally built as an 83 unit high-rise building back in the 1950’s. It stands on the East side of the Plaza just a few pedals from the nelson Atkins Museum the plethora of shops and stores on the Country Club Plaza. Children’s Mercy Bicycle Lesson and Safety Training

Children's Mercy's Center for Childhood Safety, in partnership with BikeWalkKC's Education Team, are hosting a bicycle safety training centered around BikeWalkKC's BLAST program. BLAST teaches kids basic bicycle safety and handling skills through their regular scheduled PE classes, and encourages physical activity and healthy lifestyles through bicycling to school. BikeWalkKC will train champions to help expand program reach and capacity. Additionally, this training will seek to also educate more adults on the basics of bike safety and advocacy.

Community Earn-a-Bike at Rosedale Development Association

BikeWalkKC will be coming to Rosedale to provide a class for adults covering safe riding and basic bike maintenance. Participants will receive a free bike, helmet, and bike lights, as well as dinner. Liv Women’s Stretching for Cyclists
